![]() I wasn’t going to leave a review but even emailed corporate and no reply from them either. We literally came to the hotel, slept, woke up and and left in the morning after breakfast. Let me assure you this was the least packed I have ever seen it on a weekend. The lady just said oh yeah the storm hit everyone hard and Trump is in town so we are packed. Not even a simple apology, or a thank you for cleaning the water up, or we could move you to a different room from either of them. A gentlemen, who I believe was a manager, looked right at me as I was telling the lady at the front desk and kept walking. I told her I took several pics of how bad it was and where it was coming in at. I told the lady our room situation and why we were leaving and decided not to stay a second night. I wasn’t looking for a refund or a handout, but the way the situation was handled was poor. I understand the places are old and I know they are working hard to bring them up to par. Now we understood why it smelled so musty in there. Didn’t sleep well as it happened again throughout the night, and again in the morning. It flowed down the window, onto the air conditioning unit and then onto the floor. We had to use every towel in the room to soak it up. Water starts flowing in the window where the mold was in our room. We go to go to the pool and this strong storm hits. We just figured it is what it is the places are old and we won’t be in here much anyways. Once we got our bands we went to our room to unpack we get in there and it smelled musty and we could see a small spot of mold above the window and moisture in the window. Anyways, I got my ID so we could try to enjoy some time at the pool. Then I get asked for my ID, which I was told I didn’t need. You would think there would be better communication, as a younger employee stood up and said she did know. I wasn’t sure why she wouldn’t know that the front desk was out. Small inconvenience, but it was ok until we got up there and the lady rudely drilled us and asked why we didn’t have passes. When we first arrived the lady at the front desk told us they were out of pool passes and that we would need to just go to the pool and tell them my last name and room number and they would give us bands there. I wish the Peek success, not sure I ll be back With Lake findley, Chautauqua, Etc near by there is no lack of customers able to pay your menu prices. The beer and pizza crowd can go to the pub, informal dining to the outer dining room, etc. ![]() I suggest having a semi formal area roped off and advertise it and you ll attract a different crowd of customers. People are looking for a formal like setting like Russell's in buffalo, Russell's is very very busy. I noticed this summer and currently the dining is not busy, though food was good. There was a time when the fireplace area had unwritten or written dress code with white tablecloths. Yet the menu is fine dining? $52 for ribeye etc. In the dining room near the fireplace, I was surrounded by hoodies, jeans, loud children, etc. We dressed semi formal not formal since we know the atmosphere is come as you wish. Celebrated our anniversary this weekend there. Formal dining is gone in such a beautiful imported DR.
